Sunday Inspiration: Lessons in Yoga

I went to a yoga class at my new gym this week, and it was so peaceful. I loved being able to have some time to myself to meditate and push myself. I haven’t done yoga in  over a year and I’m so glad to be back at a gym that offers classes.

At the end of class, as we were sinking into a pose (that was getting kind of difficult), the instructor said “acknowledge the sensation, and breath”. I loved that. He did not use the word pain– I wasn’t really in pain– I was pushing myself and it was uncomfortable, but not painful. I really think this applies to life- when we are in a difficult position, acknowledge the sensation– and breath.
